Basic Drawing |

| Are you a beginner with the urge to draw or do you feel you are missing some essential grounding in your artwork? This class will cover all the basic principles of drawing. Learn to draw accurately and to apply structure, tonal values, composition and colour theory. Classes are relaxed and informal. Students can work at their own pace. |

Botanical Drawing and Painting |

| Have you ever wanted to draw and paint plants and flowers? Learn how to draw realistically, transfer drawings, mix and glaze colours, stretch paper, wet and dry techniques, and apply details. |

Creative Watercolour |

Explore colour and various mediums such as pastels, watercolours and ink in a creative and fun class atmosphere. Learn a variety of skills within these mediums and practice your own skills at the same time. Students who would like to paint in oils/acrylics
are encouraged to join this class for expert tuition and help. The combination of new skills and the creative abilities you bring to class will combine for personal creative artworks. This class is stimulating
and fun with emphasis being on your own creative style in painting with expert tutoring in any of the above mediums for help and encouragement.

| Start with drawing principles e.g.line, tone, shape, composition, colour theory, etc. Add techniques such as shading, paper preparation, paint application using pencil, ink, charcoal paint, resist mediums and collage. |

Discover your creativity through drawing and sketching within this friendly and stimulating class which is suitable for beginners to advanced levels.
Fine Art techniques are taught within this creative drawing class and you will have the opportunity of exploring not only pencil techniques but also ink pen techniques, all of which can be used for a mixed media approach to your artworks.
This course is conducted by Jenny Young who has been a tutor of Drawing and Painting at our College for more than ten years.
Bring an A3 Sketchpad and HB pencil to class.

| This drawing/sketching course will equip you to start your creative hobby/career by giving you sound technical and creative exercises in a fun and friendly class. Enjoy the satisfaction of creating your own artworks while meeting new friends on a Saturday morning and still having plenty of time for other weekend pursuits. Beginners and continuing students are more than welcome. |
