Seniors 60+ under the Tech Savvy
Seniors Program as part of the
NSW Ageing Strategy. Classes will
depend on funding which is uncertain at the time of going to
press.

Our patient, caring Computer Essentials teachers are very experienced
at making “computer phobic” people comfortable with using a computer.

Pre-requisite: None. Identify needs and learn how to purchase
appropriate wireless networking systems. This is a hands onworkshop
where you can learn to set-up and configure for your home or small
business. Learn how to optimise the wireless network and fault find if
it goes wrong. Theory or practice adding other devices such as TV’s,
iPhones, printers etc. Learn the benefits of a well configured router
including on-line safety, data sharing and backup. Focus on gaining the
skills and using free tools to reduce your home IT support costs. |

Now you have upgraded to an iPhone, learn how you can use all the advanced features such as e-mail, surfing the web, downloading photos and how to instal applications such as
weather, CityRail train timetable, calculators, comparison shopping, banking, news. In this course we will take you
through the operation of these features and more in a step by step way. You will be able to take advantage of many of the advanced features of your iPhone after this course. Bring along your own iPhone and laptop if you have one. |
