It has been said that "Businesses that fail to plan, plan to fail" You might have the best business idea in the world, but if you don't measure the results and have a plan, you won't succeed. According to CPA Australia "Estimates are that one in three new small businesses in Australia fail in the first year of operation, two out of four by the end of the second year, and three out of four by the fifth year.
In this course you will get a simple Excel spreadsheet that you can build your own information into. (If possible bring a copy of your Profit and Loss & Balance Sheet for the last two years so you can create your own business budget right in the class to take home). Don't let your business be one of the ones that fails, especially in these tough economic times.

| No MYOB knowledge required. Learn how to complete the Business Activity Statement (BAS) manually, as well as using MYOB. Students will look at different transactions, and learn what is GST free (and more importantly what has GST included). Maximise GST Credits and find out where different transactions should be placed on BAS. |
