Food Safety Level 1 |
|
This course is for anyone involved in food preparation or service whether it is in schools canteens, kitchens, nursing homes and
supermarkets. Learn about the NSW food safety laws, how to safely handle food at work and how to prevent food poisoning.
Emphasis is given to food safety when handling food for vulnerable people.
Successful students’ completing this class will be given a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment in SITXOHS002A - Follow
workplace hygiene procedures in partial completion of SIT20207 Certificate II in Hospitality from SIT07 Hospitality Training Package and HLTFS207B- Follow basic food Safety Practices in partial completion of HLT21207 Certificate II in Health Support Services from HLT07 Health Training Package.It is recommended by most councils, each food handling business should have a staff member with this qualification.

Nutrition & Menu Planning for Children |
|
This course is suitable for cooks & chefs in childcare centres, family day care, out-of-school hours care, school canteens, nannies, parents and carers. It is a requirement of the NSW Children's Services Regulation 2004 that cooks in children services have training in food safety, menu planning and nutrition provided by a registered training organisation.
This training provides an understanding of the nutritional needs of children at different ages, how to plan meals and menus based on the Australian Dietary Guidelines menu; how to deal with allergies, intolerances and specific health and dietary needs; consideration of cultural and religious preferences in relation to food; nutritional value of different foods and recommended serving sizes; how to read and interpret food labels and how to make healthy meals and snacks appealing and attractive to young children.
Successful participants will receive a nationally recognized Statement of Attainment for CHCCN3C Prepare Nutritionally Balanced Food in a Safe and Hygienic Manner in partial completion of CHC30402 Certificate III in Children's Services from CHC02 Children's Services Training Package and HLTNA302B Plan and evaluate meals and menus to meet recommended dietary guidelines in partial completion of HLT32807 Certificate III in Health Support Services from HLT07 Health Training Package.

Responsible Conduct of Gambling - RCG |
|
RCG training is required by law for people working with gaming machines, such as pubs and clubs. This training provides an understanding of NSW gambling legislation and to develop skills and knowledge and awareness required to conduct gambling and to attend gaming machines in a responsible manner.
Successful participant will receive a nationally regonised Statement af Attainment for unit SITHGAM006A- Responsible Conduct of Gambling and NSW Casino, Liquor, and Gaming Control Authoritys (CLGCA) RCG Certificate in partial completion of SIT20207 Certificate II in Hospitality from SIT07 Tourism, Hospitality and Events Training Package.

Responsible Service of Alcohol - RSA |
|
RSA courses are required for anyone involved in the sale, supply, promotion or service of alcohol in NSW or in a security position in a licenced venue. The course content includes: facts obout alcohol in the community, standard drinksand blood alcohol levels,alcohol and the law, strategies for responsible service,implementation of housepolicies and industry codes of practice and monitoring a bar area.
Successful students completing the class will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of attainment in SITHFAB009A- Responsible service of alcohol in partial completion of SIT20207 Certificate II in Hospitality
(Operations)and a NSW Gov RSA certificate. |
