Aqua Exercise

Aqua Exercise will help you to get fit, become stronger, improve your flexibility and feel good. The small classes which are held in a heated indoor pool, cater for all levels of fitness. All equipment is supplied. Qualified tutor (Sports Science).

Pilates Basics

Pilates is based on the idea that correct posture and muscle tone are essential for wellbeing. Improve posture and body tone and develop a strong back for body support. You will be taken through a variety of floor exercises using the abdomen as the power centre. These exercises will improve the core trunk and stability. If you have pre-existing back or neck problems or medical conditions, consult your doctor before enrolling.

Self Defence

This course teaches students practical, effective and simple Self
Defence, to protect themselves, their loved ones and to walk without
fear. The course will cover skills, techniques, avoidance, non aggressive
stances and defence against multiple forms of attacks. The
course will also cover the Legal aspects of Self Defence.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese art form, consisting of exercises
with gentle movements designed to build inner harmony,
balance and flexibility. It has been recognised for its many
health benefits such as decreasing stress and helping those
who suffer from arthritis. With practise, it can be an effective aid
to good posture, health and wellbeing.Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.

Tai Chi Introduction

This class is designed for Tai Chi beginners. It will cover correct
postures and safe ways to stand and move. At the end of the term,
students will join the more experienced group to continue their wellness
and harmony learning of Tai Chi.

Yoga (Chris Suggate)

Become a healthier, happier and more balanced person through yoga. Asanas (exercise), pranayama (breathing) and relaxation are taught. These develop strength, flexibility, endurance and muscle tone. Concentration and alertness improve as tension and stress are released. Improve your cardiovascular fitness, circulation, the nervous and endocrine systems and the functioning of vital organs. Yoga is beneficial to men and women of all ages. Not suitable for those who are pregnant, but perfect for women two months after giving birth. Bring a mat (foam or sticky) and a blanket
