Meditation

This 8 week program will introduce participants to the health and wellbeing benefits of meditation, catering to both beginners and those with prior experience. The focus will be around learning core meditation techniques supplemented by information on the latest research findings. The application and relevance of meditation to everyday activities will be highlighted, as will many of the well documented benefits of regular practice. These include, but are not limited to:
Stress Management – by enhancing our ability to cope better and stay mentally and emotionally clear
Cognitive ability – where regular practice has been shown to boost attention, concentration and memory
Creativity – including improved utilisation of right brain thinking skills
General health indicators – including improvement in heart rate, pulse, respiration, hormone balance and brain wave activity.
Wellbeing – resulting in improved composure, calm and a more positive outlook

Meditation (Follow-on class)

This on-going class welcomes all those with previous meditation experience and for those wanting to consolidate their skills acquired in the MBSR course. Each week a different focus is practiced to broaden knowledge and support your wellbeing and personal development

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Through Meditation

Learn how to meditate to reduce stress, calm your mind and tap into the true potential of YOU. This practice has the ability to change your worry thinking into a productive and peaceful way of being. The focus of this program is the practice of mindfulness according to a Harvard survey this has the potential to increase happiness by 10.8%.
Program participants who followed the 10 minutes per day homework have reported “increased decision making capabilities and 80% have alleviated the feelings of stress and anxiety.” (Fiona
