Card Making and Papercraft
Learn many techniques and skills to make a large number of cards and other paper crafts. Some of the techniques covered will be die cutting, embossing, stamping, paper punching, water colour crayons, envelope making and layering techniques. A wide variety of equipment will be available for use at the classes. You will not need to bring any equipment with you. Come along and have a fun,relaxing and creative time. Bring $30 to the first lesson to cover all materials for the course. Each week you will take home a huge kit containing supplies to make plenty of gift tags, gift cards, cards and other items.
Creative Writing
Join local author and award-winning playwright Pete Malicki in learning about the various forms of creative writing from short stories, novels and poetry to plays, screenplays and articles. The class will involve a range of exercises to help participants improve their writing ability as well as plenty of discussions, interaction and insight into the various industries revolving around writing. It will be tailored to the needs and goals of those who attend.
French Conversation Level 1 Beginners - Continuing from Term 1
Come and learn how to have an ‘everyday’ conversation in French. Learn how to meet and greet French people and talk with them in everyday situations. The emphasis will be on speaking skills and pronunciation in a relaxed and friendly environment.
French Conversation Level 1 - For Absolute Beginners
Come and learn how to have an ‘everyday’ conversation in French. Learn how to meet and greet French people and talk with them in everyday situations. No previous knowledge of the French language needed. Suitable for absolute beginners. Emphasis on speaking skills and pronunciation in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Guitar Beginners and Beyond
Students will learn to play guitar in a relaxed and non pressure setting. They will learn chords and many aspects of self accompaniment when singing or just simply strumming or picking along with their favourite recordings. They will learn to play melodies and tunes and learn the most popular and well known “guitar licks”. The basics of some musical notation will be also be taught and expanded on, if suitable. Those students who have already made a journey into learning guitar will be able to consolidate their knowledge and expand on it as desired. Most importantly, they will all learn how to make music!
Guitar for Beginners
Students will learn to play chords by strumming or picking, play simple melodies and tunes, read musical notation and learn to understand the beautiful language that is music.
