African Drumming Workshop

Discover the inner health benefits of drumming and bust out of the Covid blues!

Join us for an African style boogie and bang your lil’ heart out to the primal grooves of ancient tribal African rhythms on crackin’ African djembe drums.

You'll learn a multi-layered African rhythm and feel the way the parts groove with each other under the direction of an experienced teacher and facilitator. 

Learn how to use the drum as a bridge from your monkey mind to the spaciousness within. Practice mindfulness, or rather mind-emptiness as you learn simple rhythms on a drum and enter the gateway into the timeless, flow space. Build confidence, technique and etiquette. Enjoy an open jam session for free expression at the end. Be surprised by what you learn in a small amount of time. This class involves a 30 min break to rest your hands halfway, please bring a snack or some lunch.
