Windsor to Richmond

Take part in one of the 6th Hawkesbury Paddle Festival events on the secret river.
Do it the relaxed, scenic way-
For the first time we paddle between two of Governor Macquarie’s most historic towns, planned in 1810-11 and containing fine examples of Victorian architecture and grand parklands. Richmond was the third area to have European settlement in Australia after the Sydney and Parramatta. Starting from the big sandy beach at Macquarie Park, we pass steep sandstone cliffs and riverbanks stabilised by the planting of planting of many thousands of trees. Prolific birdlife; lunch at Hanna Park. Grade Easy.
