Are you wanting to learn techniques to help you unwind using creative therapy? Why not try our NEW art workshop introducing meditative forms of visual arts while learning painting and drawing skills. Themes will involve practices to benefit mental well-being to get into a flow state and reduce stress while enjoying the beauty and power of art. We will explore artistic elements such as colour theory, basic painting techniques, form and sketching.
Students are encouraged to explore and develop artistic style in a safe, calm, creative and supportive environment, guided by an artist with over 15 years of experience.
Anyone welcome, beginner to advanced.
What you are recommended to bring:
- Watercolour paints or acrylic inks (you decide)
- HB Pencil & Eraser
- A4 drawing pad and watercolour pad (200GSM or higher)
- Paintbrushes varied sizes
- Fine-liner Black pen
About your Tutor
Saskia Malwina is a contemporary mixed media artist who has spent the last 3 years in Tasmania developing her professional practice in painting. Studying a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design and recently completed a Diploma of Creative Arts and Health.
