TAI CHI for beginners

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese art form of healing and preventative health, consisting of exercises with gentle movements designed to build inner harmony, balance, strength and flexibility.
A tai chi form ‘or shadow boxing’ is comprised of a collection of movements and postures that mainly mimic ,martial art movements designed for self-defence, that is, by warding off and counter attacking opponents, in a real life situation.
Whilst there are many styles of Tai Chi, Practitioners will be taught the traditional Yang style of Tai Chi, which was passed from late Yang ChenFu, the 3rd generation inheritor and legendary of Yang Taijiquan to his late grandson, Zhao Bin (4th generation), and thereafter to his son, Gandmaster Zhao YouBin (5th generation) of China.
Practitioners will be taught a compact version and foundation movements of the YangZhao Taiji 85 forms which were the final practice forms composed by Yang ChenFu. The Taiji 85 forms have become one of the most widely practice soft form of martial art in the world.
Course Content
 Introduction to Tai Chi traditional Yang style 30 forms
 Body (including hand and foot) alignment in executing each of the forms
 Taiji walking (foot flow) for correct stances and postures
 Taiji (foot and hand) movements for body co-ordination and balance
 Execution and application of 30 forms in a martial arts context
 Core strengths and health benefits derived from 30 forms
 Breathing techniques in movements.
 Core Strength exercise derived from movements and postures.

 Improves flexibility in body.
 Strengthen legs;
 Improves body balance and co-ordination.
 Relieves from stress.
 Maintain and improve bone strengths.
 Enable harmony in mind and body.
 Foundation in further practice of advanced 85 forms
