Italian Absolute Beginners

This course is designed for students who are ready to strengthen their foundations while continuing to build confidence in Italian.

We will use Nuovo Espresso 1 as our core textbook, focusing on Units 3 and 4, which introduce essential language for everyday communication.
In these units, students learn how to talk about free time and interests, express likes and dislikes, and interact in common social situations. The course also covers practical language for ordering food and drinks, talking about meals, and navigating cafés and restaurants — key skills for real-life Italian.

Grammatically, students will expand their knowledge of present tense verbs, sentence structure, articles, and basic expressions used in daily conversations. Vocabulary and grammar are always presented in context, helping learners understand not just how the language works, but when and why to use it.

Throughout the course, we will actively develop all four skills — listening, speaking, reading, and writing — through guided practice, interactive activities, and communicative exercises designed to boost confidence and fluency.
