Roslynne has specialised in the education of Gifted and Talented students over the past 27 years. She has held executive roles in North Shore schools and has set up highly successful gifted and talented programs for which these schools have become known.
With first-hand experience in teaching gifted students, Roslynne has guided students from their early years and through their secondary education. She has mentored these students, assisting them to understand their unique selves and equipping them to overcome the social, emotional and academic hurdles they have seen in front of them.
Over the decades, Roslynne has provided support to numerous grateful families who had been seeking a professional with knowledge, experience and practical strategies. She has mentored the parents of gifted students whose challenging behaviours at home have required special understanding and creative interventions to bring greater harmony to the home/school environment. She has run parent information sessions on “The Gifted Child” within her schools and for the wider community, bringing support to each parent’s journey walked with their gifted child.
As a highly qualified and experienced teacher, Roslynne is able to refer parents to the appropriate accommodations and programs that should be available throughout their child’s education.
After many similar requests and encouragement, Roslynne has now launched her consultancy, Mind Perspectives, so as to reach those in need of her expertise in the wider community. She looks forward to meeting with adults and children alike to hear the back-stories and to provide the necessary guidance to bring harmony and excitement to the learning/living process.
Two additional fields of experience are also offered to the public.
Passionate about the teaching of thinking, Roslynne will offers courses to both adults and children. She has lectured internationally, being well received by teachers and requested to stay longer to work with individual and small groups.
Having majored in English and Linguistics, Roslynne has experience teaching English to speakers of other languages (EAL/D).
