Where Mahjong Meets Great Company!

Join us each week on Thursday for our Traditional Chinese style Mahjong Social Club!

From 1pm-3pm you have a chance for to come together for a friendly, social setting to enjoy a few hours of Mahjong and practice their skills on a regular basis.

Please note this is for those students who have done a few terms of Mahjong Beginners or know how to play the game.

Mahjong Social Club – Rules & Guidelines

1. Registration & Attendance

Players must enrol in advance to secure a spot. Walk-ins are only allowed if there is an available seat
If you are unable to attend, please notify the college as soon as possible so others can take your place

2. Game Rules & Fair Play

The club follows Traditional Chinese rules. Players are expected to familiarise themselves with these before playing
NO new rules may be introduced mid-game. If there is a dispute about a rule, refer to the official club guidelines or speak to the college Lifestyle Coordinator
Respect other players. No peeking at tiles, giving hints, or rushing others to play

3. Game Setup & Rotations

Tables will be assigned based on attendance. Depending on numbers, some players may need to rotate in

4. Etiquette & Conduct

Be courteous and patient. Mahjong is a game of strategy and fun; let’s keep it enjoyable for all
Disputes should be handled calmly. If needed, an HKCC staff member will mediate

5. Refreshments & Cleanliness

Players are welcome to bring snacks and drinks but must keep the playing area tidy
Please clean up after yourself before leaving
If you use coffee cups or utensils from the kitchen please ensure they are washed, dried, and put away in their proper cupboard

6. Club Fees & Contributions

Players who have booked but not paid for the session must settle their invoice upon arrival at the college
