Discover your distinct artistic style while exploring the basic methods of drawing and painting. 

We will cover simple materials and techniques, starting with drawing and moving confidently into using paint. We will learn some basic colour theory and simple effects that can bring your paintings to life.

Students are encouraged to bring items from home they would like to draw or paint, but there will always be a simple still life set up at most classes, flowers etc.

The main thing is to have fun, feel confident, and relax and enjoy the journey!

What to bring for your first class:

A drawing pad, some sketching pencils or charcoal, and an apron or old shirt to wear. During the first class, your tutor will discuss the paints required for the term.
